Abbeygate Rest Homes is committed to staff development; for those staff new to the sector we will help and assist them to undertake both the Care Certificate and our in-house induction, leading to the opportunity to gain a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

For those staff already qualified to the minimum requirement of an NVQ 2 or equivalent, there will be opportunity to gain further qualifications within the group.  At Abbeygate the maxim has always been our success is based on our peoples' development. 

We are always interested to hear from people who are passionate about the caring profession, and willing to undertake further training as part of their job.

    Which role(s) are you interested in? (required)

    Working within a team to provide wakeful night time care and undertake certain domestic duties which can be performed during those hours.

    Working within a team dedicated to the new Day Care Centre to meet the personal, social and emotional needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence and choice.

    To assist with the preparation of meals, refreshments and snacks for residents within guidelines laid down by the Home Manager and Chef.

    Working under the Home Manager and Senior Carer to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the Home. Where required assisting the provision of a laundry service including the operation of commercial washing and drying machines.
