As soon as you walk into an Abbeygate Rest Home you know this is care with a difference. Our homes are much smaller and intimate than most; this means they provide that homely, friendly feel that immediately puts our residents and their families at ease. Whether residents or staff, most of the people in our homes have a local history; everything about Abbeygate is designed to make you feel at home.

Everything we do at Abbeygate, from the care we provide, through to the activities we plan and even the meals we prepare are tailored to residents - we try to ensure that each resident enjoys an experience that is as individual as they are.

Mealtimes are as important in an Abbeygate Home as they are in our individual homes; our catering staff take great pride in preparing a varied and balanced menu, catering for special diets where required, all prepared in our own kitchens - families and friends are welcome to enjoy meals with residents.

A daily programme of individual and group activities provides stimulation for our residents; from professional entertainers to local school groups we look to involve ourselves in local life to keep the residents feeling a strong sense of community. The homes are regularly attended by a hairdresser, a beautician and a chiropodist so that residents can continue to live their life as they would in their own home - we can even arrange for your daily paper to be delivered to you.
